About P.D.Jacob
Paul Daniel Joseph Jacob (aka Cricket), born July 14, 1959 in Neenah, Wisconsin, U.S.A., is a lifelong student of religion, philosophy, psychology and logic. He is as likely to be found sitting atop a mountain in the jungles of Belize as he would be giving a presentation to a group of health educators at an urban conference center. Since childhood, Paul has been drawn to remote locations, which provide an ideal atmosphere for introspection, observation and profound respect for nature. His photo and book inspirations emerge out of the relationships between humankind, and all other life forms and matter which constitute the clockworks of life. “There can be no separation or under-appreciation of the components of this world, because each seemingly insignificant movement is a course-altering factor in the evolution of our universe.”
PUBLISHED WORKS BELOW:

THE AWAKENING DREAM - Journey On The Wings Of A Thousand Angels (c2008)
In a dream state, and on the wings of angels, the reader takes a virtual journey across the land and around the world. Innocent rendezvous with mankind and nature reveal lessons and evoke enlightening revelations. Spirituality and religion are explored through their uniting and divisive elements. Our personal roles in the universe, as they relate to the interconnectedness of all things, are examined and celebrated. The poetic read is accompanied by 27 photographs from the author’s personal collection.

HOW WE SHOULD THINK - The Intersections Of Philosophical Thought (c2010)
Happiness is dependent upon constructive interactions with things that affect us. Unfortunately, sometimes we struggle to find meaning and joy in living. The quest for greater success in this realm has absorbed the attention of philosophers and spiritual leaders for the past four thousand years. What did Aristotle, Plato, Confucius, Buddha and Einstein have to say about mankind's search for meaning and happiness? How did they and other great thinkers interpret the world we live in? Can we connect the dots between the thoughts and ideas of these philosophers, identifying the common denominators for our own use? Let's pick their brains.

THE FREETHINKING HUMANIST - Pocketbook (c2011)
The book provides a historical synopsis of the Free Thought and Humanist movements. Included are many valuable resources for those interested in the subject, like; The Humanist Manifestos I, II & III, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and 16 Traits of Self-Actualizers, Ted Turner's Ten Voluntary Initiatives, a listing of the Greek Gods, the history of the Christmas and Easter holidays, a listing of freethinking and humanist organizations, and pages of incisive quotes from history's greatest thinkers. “Some will follow like sheep, living life under the assumption that their shepherds are the keepers of all wisdom and knowledge. They will dangle like string puppets from the grips of self-appointed puppeteers. And who are these puppeteers? They are no more than puppets themselves. But their master is in the form of archaic notions, of lingering falsehoods once held as truths, of myths addressing the discomfort of the unknown. Often the puppeteer's intentions are good. But sometimes his intentions spring from a well of self-serving motivations. And then there are the untethered freethinkers, who experience life through interpretive dance. They are not bound by flock mentality nor restrained by suspiciously dubious cords. Their song is a reflection of the world they see; unaltered, unfiltered, transparent to the transcendent.”
